Description
Filling module with dual non-return valves and pressure-controlled intermediate chamber with drainage. Suitable for tapwater installations with protective covering to fluid category 3.
In the standard, the filling module unit is termed a “protective device”. To meet the standard’s function inspection requirement, protective devices must be fitted as a “protective module”, i.e. be supplemented with the following equipment, in the direction of flow:
• Shut-off valve
• Draining for inspection
• Dirt filter
• Filling module (protective device)
• Shut-off valve
When installing, the standard’s installation requirements must be followed.
The filling module does not require maintenance.
If incoming pressure approaches the outlet pressure, the non-return valves close and the fluid enclosed in the chamber drains to the atmosphere.
Inspection of the non-return valve for incoming pressure:
Close the shut-off valves on both sides. Reduce the incoming pressure via the drain on the shut-off valve. If the non-return valve is tight, the fluid in the chamber must leak out via the drain.
Inspection of the non-return valve for the outlet pressure:
Simply close the valve for incoming pressure. Reduce the incoming pressure via the drain on the draining valve. The fluid in the chamber leaks out via the drain. If the leak does not stop, the non-return valve for the outlet pressure is not tight, and this must be rectified.
