LK Armatur is a leading producer in Europe, manufactures millions of valves per year for the global HVAC market. Our solutions are based on a comprehensive view of how valves, control units, components and prefabricated products work together.
LK Systems is the leading manufacturer of easy-to-install systems for heating and tap water distribution and pre-insulated pipes in the Nordics. Through our prefabrication factory, we also provide tailor-made solutions that simplify the installation process even further.
Our PEX Pipe Extrusion business area is an innovative manufacturer of high-quality plastic pipes for the heating and plumbing industry. Our core is the efficient, high-technology production process for crosslinked PE-Xa pipes, resulting in products with a unique combination of flexibility and hydrostatic strength.
LK is a family-owned trading and production group, operating on a global scale within the HVAC-area. We are the market leader in Sweden and has an increasing sales of products, systems and solutions in the Nordic countries, Europe and the USA.
Description
Air separator with mesh cage and integrated floating air bleed valve for automatic venting of heating or cooling systems. The mesh cage increases the contact face on throughflow, which results in efficient air separation.
On the top cover are 2 x air bleed valves, 1 x black for automatic venting, plus 1 x red for manual venting.
The air separator must be mounted upright in horizontal lines. In heating systems, the air bleed valve is placed in the supply line close to the heater, after any shunt valve but before the circulation pump. In cooling systems, the air bleed valve is mounted in the return line, i.e. after the cooling coil where there is maximum temperature.
The black cover for the automatic air bleed valve must be undone by approx. two turns. If the cover is screwed all the way down to the bottom, the air separator is disabled.
The manual venting valve with the red cover is designed to be used when draining large quantities of air, e.g. when commissioning the system. Undo the plastic cover, carefully press the underlying the valve spindle e.g. with a screwdriver. Protect against water spray using soft paper/a cloth.
The air separator requires no maintenance. The black plastic cover on the top of the air separator must be undone by approx. two turns. This is because continuous venting of the system must be possible. If the plastic cover is screwed all the way down to the bottom, the air separator is closed.
On seasonal startup, it may be appropriate to accelerate venting of the system using the manual air bleed valve. (The red plastic cap). Undo the plastic cover, carefully press the underlying the valve spindle e.g. with a screwdriver. Protect against water spray using soft paper/a cloth. The plastic cover has to be put back after this action.
